The Laboratory of Environmental Health under the Health Systems and Population Studies Division has focus on studies on environmental microbiology related to the ecology and epidemiology of diarrheagenic organisms. Emphasis has been on studies on monitoring of drinking water, wastewater and faecal sludge treatment plants.
Position Descriptions:
The Research Assistant will report to the Principal Investigator and will be responsible for performing laboratory tests; sample processing, and inventory of laboratory chemicals and media with the objective of conducting high-quality lab research within the guidelines of organizational values and guidelines. Required qualifications and experience:
Bachelor or Masters in Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology with good academic records. At least 1 year of laboratory experience in the identification and detection of enteric pathogens by culture and molecular biological techniques from environmental samples; 3 Years of experience for Bachelor's degree holders.Location: Mohakhali Campus, Dhaka

Contract Type and Duration:
Short-Term Contractual Service Agreement: The initial duration will be 5 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.Salary & benefits:
Tk 37,661/-per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances; Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen; Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.Notes of attention:
