In February 2025, an award was signed between the World Health Organization (WHO) and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) to support the healthcare needs of Sudanese refugees with renal failure in Egypt. The project covers life-saving treatment services to two critical patient groups of the Sudanese forcibly displaced community in Egypt: dialysis-dependent individuals who require regular and life-sustaining treatment sessions, and post-renal transplantation patients who rely on continuous access to costly immunosuppression to prevent life threatening organ rejection.

ย This collaborative intervention aims to alleviate the healthcare burden on both patients and the national health system by covering treatment costs and ensuring equitable access to life-saving quality care. By integrating a strong monitoring and evaluation framework, the project will track the delivery of services and enable timely adjustments to improve impact.
