The Moldova Country Director position will play a crucial role in leading the organization from emergency to self-reliance programmes in coordination with external stakeholders such as the Government, other local actors, UN and Donors. The postholder is expected to have excellent leadership skills to lead a well-established team and will need to demonstrate the vision required to maintain, review and adapt the mission strategy and structure to align with changing needs in country.ย
What we are looking for:
A strategic leader ideally a Country Director or Senior Manager with solid experience in a similar role. Experience managing both programmes and support functions is preferred.
Strong people management skills, with experience managing complex change processes.

What you will do:
Drive forward the position and advocacy voice of NRC Moldova within the changing humanitarian context in Moldova, with specific focus on Ukrainian refugees, and ensure ongoing emergency response capabilities. Continue to move NRC Moldova towards a strong partnership model, through leading consortia, developing best practice and continuing to institutionalise partnership systems.ย Ensure strong relationships with existing stakeholders and create linkages where strategic and relevant with potential new donors.ย Advocate to ensure NRCโs continued access to Transnistria so as to allow for continued programming. .ย Lead and provide the vision for strategic processes, including a regular assessment on NRCโs operating modalities and value add in the response.ย Ensure that NRC Moldova seeks efficiencies and effectiveness throughout its response.What you will bring
