The objective of the Centre is to provide trusted ICT services and digital business solutions to its Clients and Partner Organizations.
Background information:
The Cybersecurity Operations Consultant will be responsible for assisting the in the delivery of the Cybersecurity Operations services and projects aligned with the strategy and roadmap of UN Partner Organisation. This role requires a strong foundation in technical knowledge but also an ability to communicate complex security topics to a non-technical audience and work collaboratively across diverse teams.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Chief, Cybersecurity Operations, of UNICCโs Partner Organization, and will be in close collaboration with UNICCโs Cybersecurity Operations Section (CSO) and other cybersecurity teams within UNICCโs Partner Organization.
Investigate security alerts and anomalies identified through Googleโs security tools (e.g. Google Security Command Center, Security Operations, DLP, etc.) as well as candidate incidents escalated by the SOC Team Collaborate with the Cybersecurity Operations Section and/or other cybersecurity teams to support architecture changes, development and implementation of new solutions and apply configuration hardening best practices in Google Environment Identify and suggest the implementation of new detection use cases required to monitor Google Environment for real-time threat detection Contribute to the development and maintenance of automation playbooks using Google Cloud Functions, SOAR, and Security Orchestration Identify and suggest architecture changes to enhance cybersecurity posture of ICT environment Support and participate in security risk assessments and audits related to Cloud environment Ensure that ICT environment maintains compliance with ISO 27001 standards, proactively tracking identified risks, managing mitigation activities, and escalating issues through appropriate channels when necessary Following UNICC cybersecurity best practices, manage vulnerabilities using Googlenative or third-party security tools (e.g. Qualys, Crowdstrike) Following the guidance of CISO and CSO sections monitor and act on assigned security operations related activities and the 24*7 SOC ensuring all security incidents are diligently followed through and remediated Support the integration of Google Cloud security environment with other security controls (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike) to enhance threat detection, incident response, and security operationsRecruitment Profile
Experience and Skills required:
Essential:
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in Information Technology, including in conducting or coordinating incident response or forensics in Google Cloud environment Proven experience in the implementation and design of security architecture, security controls, and best practices in Google Cloud environmentEducation:
Essential:
First university degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related areaLanguages:

Compensation:
Fee will be based either on the National Officer salary scales or the Individual Consultancy band levels (for Headquarters)
