Project Context and Scope
ย Under the overall supervision of the Protection Program Manager and the direct supervision of the Data Assistant, the successful candidate will provide assistance in entering, cleaning and verifying the data on the vulnerable migrants screened, including victims of trafficking, victims of GBV and DV, stranded migrants and unaccompanied children provided by Intake, DA and AVRR teams. The Consultant is expected to carry out his/her duties in accordance with strictest moral and ethical standards, aligned with IOM Data Protection Principles and with due respect for gender and socio-cultural differences of the beneficiaries.

1. Organize and manage comprehensive data processing support for DA/AVRR Units including:
ย ย ย ย ย a) Data entry and cleaning in MiMOSA to ensure DA and AVRR data accuracy and consistency.
ย ย ย ย ย b) Data verification with DA and AVRR staff.
2. Apply quality control by ensuring that all assisted cases are in MiMOSA system.
3. Support MiMOSA Focal point in data analysis using Excel and other tools, establishment and maintenance of data collection and management activities in accordance with IOM standards and methodologies, standardized tools, implementation approaches.
4. Make recommendations to contribute to the formulation of standard operating procedures in information packaging and archiving system.
5. Generate basic reports, tables and visualizations.
6. Assist in organizing Data trainings for different units.
7. Perform other duties as may be assigned; and undertake duty travels as required.
ย Education
- Bachelor's or Equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science from an accredited academic institution. Experience
- Experience in IOM administrative and financial management, budget monitoring, cash management, and internal control procedures.
- Three years of experience in using office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheets and data analysis.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Having at least one to two years of experience working with IOM or other humanitarian organizations is highly advantageous. ย Languages- Arabic and Englishย IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
