Setting and ReportingThis position is based in New York and is located in the office of the Chief Executive of Pension Administration (CEPA) of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF or the Fund). The incumbent will be part of the UNJSPF Communications team and will report to the Public Information Officer in the office of the Chief Executive of Pension Administration, in charge of the overall communication strategy of the Fund. The internship is UNPAID and full-time for a duration of three months, with the possibility of extension to up to six months. Interns work five days per week (35 hours), with the possibility of working remotely up to three days per week. ResponsibilitiesWithin delegated authority, the Public Information Intern will be responsible for the following duties: โข Coordinate the gathering of user requirements and support the implementation of a project to enhance search capabilities of the UNJSPF website. โข Support the implementation of the communication plan for the launch of new UNJSPF forms for clients. โข Draft and post articles on the Fund's website and intranet about key events, initiatives, and communications to clients in accordance with the relevant editorial calendars. โข Review or create visuals for selected UNJSPF publications. โข Review PPT presentations to ensure consistency with the graphic guidelines of UNJSPF as well as provide a fresh and professional look and feel. โข Maintain UNJSPF Communications email account, and answer or categorize emails to ensure they are addressed adequately and in accordance with plans. โข Support the development and implementation of a social media calendar for external audiences. โข Contribute to maintaining corporate social media accounts. โข Assist in implementing various PR activities/events and producing related minutes and analytical reports. โข Prepare background information on selected topics. โข [For French/Spanish speakers] Assist in translating selected UNJSPF news stories, social media posts, videos and publications into French or Spanish. โข Perform other related duties as assigned. Work implies frequent interaction with the following: โข Communication Officers and Public Information Assistants throughout the UNJSPF. โข CEPA Office staff. โข Administrative staff and focal points in UNJSPF Pension Administration services.
