Location: BeirutSOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association which, since more than 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their basic needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in 26 countries, the SI teams โ 3200 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at HQ, and a few volunteers - intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultural norms.
About the mission
Lebanon hosts about 1.5 million Syrian refugees, mainly in its Northern governorates (Akkar and Tripoli) and in the Bekaa Valley. SI has been working in Lebanon since March 2013, to address the immediate needs of both Syrian refugees and Lebanese citizens affected by the crisis. In recent years, SI has transitioned to more integrated programs, and now addresses basic needs such as WASH, Shelter, Health and protection (the 2 latter through partnerships). In 2020, SI Lebanon started an ambitious DRRM project which aims at developing a river-basin integrated model to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies such as floods. In 2021, SI Lebanon started a WASH project to work with local Water authorities (North Lebanon Water Establishment) to improve the functioning of water supply networks. SI is also addressing the consequences of the Beirut Blast response through a two-phased project to rehabilitate damaged dwelling units and public spaces (in partnership with the Lebanese and French Red Cross).
About the job
General objective:
The Logistic Coordinator steers the missionโs logistical and supply activities in order to ensure that Solidaritรฉs International in-country programs run smoothly.
He/she implements Solidaritรฉs International mission procedures and logistical tools, and ensures that they are properly used and adhered to.
He/she participates in defining Solidaritรฉs Internationalโs mission strategy, in drawing up projects and in assessing the resources needed for Solidaritรฉs International activities.
He/she supports the Head of Mission in operational security management.
He/she is the point of reference for the mission and serves as the link between headquarters and the mission for all matters relating to logistics.The main challenges:
- Recently opened base in Saida.
Priorities for the 2/3 first months: PPTs revision, finalization of heavy supply processes, improvement of supply chain.
Security:
Limited security constraints in Beirut at the moment.
Your profile
Education / academic background: BA in relevant field
EXPERIMENT IN THE HUMANITARIAN SECTOR : more than 5 years
EXPERIMENT ON SIMILAR POSITIONS : 3-4 years
Specific skills and experience:

SI will offer you
A salaried position:
According to experience, starting from EUR 2860 gross per month (2600 base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a monthly Per Diem of USD 750.
SI also covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment.
Breaks: During the assignment, a system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with a USD 850 break allowance, allocated by Sl). To these breaks periods, SI grants one (1) additional rest day per month worked.
Insurance package: Expatriates benefit from an insurance package which refunds all healthcare expenses (including medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are refunded.
