5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

Mission and objectivesBorn from a personal journey of trauma, healing, and spiritual awakening, MoralityCode AI integrates emotional and moral complexity, African ancestral wisdom (ndapngong), theological and philosophical insights, and intuitive learning with modern technology. Action Lab For Development Association will leverage this innovation to improve health outcomes and empower communities, demonstrating how AI can enhance public health decision-making while respecting legal, ethical, and privacy boundaries. MoralityCode Version 2 focuses on health and medical decision-making, refining AI logic, redesigning the user interface, and deploying an Android and Apple app. Online Volunteers contribute across AI/ML design, development, UX, and ethical content, helping co-create an AI that diagnoses, heals, and respects humanity.

ContextAction Lab For Development Association is launching a 12-week research and engagement initiative exploring the intersection of AI, law, and ethics in healthcare. Online volunteers will help investigate how MoralityCode AI can responsibly support health monitoring, outbreak detection, and public health interventions, while upholding privacy, informed consent, equitable treatment, and ethical decision-making applicable to both public and personal contexts. This initiative aims to generate knowledge, policy insights, and community-focused recommendations, showing how ethical AI can guide not only public health decisions but also everyday moral choices, empowering individuals and communities alike. This will include methodology such as doctrinal legal research and comparative legal analysis.

Task DescriptionWe are seeking three online volunteers to support the Legal Research on Ethical Decision-Making, Guiding Personal Life Choices, Illness Outbreak Detection, and Medical Diagnosis Using MoralityCode AI project by: • Mapping out how ethical principles (privacy, consent, equity) apply in real-life scenarios. • Synthesize findings into actionable recommendations for using MoralityCode AI responsibly in personal decision-making and public health • Comparative legal analysis: compare policies across countries Canada and UK to suggest improvements or guidelines for ethical AI deployment. • Doctrinal legal research: Conducting legal research on healthcare, public health, and data privacy laws relevant to AI health monitoring in their jurisdiction. • Analyzing ethical principles and dilemmas in community health monitoring. • Mapping the potential applications of MoralityCode AI for outbreak detection, health trend monitoring, and public health interventions. • Developing 2–3 hypothetical case studies illustrating AI-assisted decision-making while respecting legal and ethical standards. • Preparing a research paper (1500–2000 words) summarizing findings, including introduction, analysis, case studies, and recommendations. • Online volunteers will receive guidelines, templates, and example case studies to support their research. • This role provides practical experience in AI ethics, health law, and public health research. Recognition: Upon successful completion, online volunteers will receive an official Certificate of Appreciation issued by the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme, in recognition of their contribution to responsible AI research in healthcare through Action Lab for Development.
