The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the specific coordination of logistical matters for NRC Bangladesh Coxโs Bazar. The Logistics Coordinator will support office logistics systems setup, compliance and logisticsโ team capacity building.ย Including staff management, coaching, mentoring and coordination between programmes, and other support departments. ย The Logistics Coordinator is based in Cox Bazar but is also responsible for Ukhiya Office and the camps/host communities where the NRC is operational.
Generic responsibilitiesย
- Implement NRCโs logistical systems and procedures in the area
- Ensure adherence to Logistics Handbook, other NRC policies and donor requirements
- Provide anti-corruption, transparency and cost efficiency guidance in all processes (e.g. in procurement, vehicle management and warehouse management)
- Training and development of logistics team
- Prepare and submit periodic reports and work plans as requiredย
- Ensure proper filing of all logistics documents in all offices as per the NRC policy
- Train and support project staff in procurement and other logistics sub-categories
- Conduct checks on logistics compliance in generalย
Specific responsibilitiesย
- Ensure that all NRC Bangladeshโs logistics specific SOPโs are implemented and adhered to in all area offices
- Ensure all procurements managed at the Area Office are conducted in a timely and effective manner as per NRC procurement regulations including the high value tender processes.
- Follow and implement NRCโs logistical systems and procedures in the Area/Country Office.
- Provide support in the physical stock counts and verification of assets, including analysis and guidance on discrepancies
- Ensure donor compliance and produce regular, timely and accurate logistics reports for NRC and donors.
- Support in all aspects the Logistics teams in the country offices ensuring that logistics support is effective
- Provide gap filling for senior logistics positions that become vacant within the area offices until such time the positions are filled
- Provide refresher training on SOPโs and NRC Global Logistics Handbook to both logistics and programme/other support department staff as relevant
- Ensure procurements are processed in a timely manner, the contracts follow up sheet is up to date and inclusive of the long-term Framework Agreements.ย
- Ensure the fleet is utilized in the best way possible, cost efficient, and fuels consumption is regularly checked. Support and manage drivers trough the focal point and organise defensive driving refreshment training. Schedule servicing and maintenance for all vehicles.
- Identify heavy transport and provide best possible solution to safely transport materials from the required point A to Z
- Manage the customs clearance process and importation of supplies
