You would be responsible for:
- Support preparations and conducting field work for study to understand the needs, digital access, and preferences,
especially for underserved and remote populations of Marshallese youth. - Facilitate youth participation in co-designing solutions.
- Assist in synthesizing findings to support consensus-building among stakeholders.
ยKey Tasks
- Co-lead situation analysis on digital access, usage (apps, radio, WhatsApp, chatbots, web platforms), and current barriers for Marshallese youth to access SRH information and service through review of relevant documents and reports from RMI.ย
- Review and provide feedback on data collection tools (FGDs, key informant interviews and surveys, as applicable)
- Develop the data collection plan with timelines for the different groups agreed upon by MOCIA, MOE, CMI and UNFPA.
- Co- facilitate 6โ8 focus group discussions with youth (stratified by age, in-school/out-of-school, urban/rural).
- Support in conducting 4โ6 key-informant interviews with stakeholders (parents, NTA, government, education, health, local government, community leaders).
- Support translation from Marshallese to English during the FGDs with young people and for appreciating the cultural nuances in the transcripts.
- Participate in thematic analysis of qualitative findings with the UNFPA team.
- Provide inputs for the feasibility study report and present interim findings to the steering committee.
- Provide interpretation during the field work, translating key documents and contents as needed.

Bachelor's degree in social science, public health or a related subject and minimum two [2] years relevant experience.
Knowledge and Experience:ย
- Knowledge of digital/social media trends and challenges in pacific contexts.
- Cultural competency and ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners in RMI including skills in working with young people.
- Demonstrated expertise in working with project management software such as Word, Excel and Microsoft Products.
Languages:ย
Fluent in English and Marshallese.
