ย Context
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Cambodia and direct supervision of theย Program Officer, the Program Assistant will beย responsible for providing individualized case management to vulnerable migrants and victims of trafficking, assisting in the implementation of all migrant protection activities, and supporting budget monitoring. The following are the duties of the candidate for this position.
- Conduct intake interviews, needs assessments, risk evaluation, and follow-up for Cambodian and foreign vulnerable migrants and victims of trafficking; apply IOMโsย vulnerability modelย to assist migrants exposed to violence, exploitation, or abuseย
- Assist in data analysis and statistics to monitor trends in migrant protection and project resultsย
- Provide administrative and logistical support for all activities; assist in activity and budget planning and monitoring including financial trackingย
- Perform duty travel as required
- Undertake other duties as assignedย
- Provideย individualized case managementย and Coordinate the provision of humanitarian assistance to vulnerable migrants with implementing partners, service providers, and local authorities including access to safe shelter, healthcare,ย psychosocial support, andย reintegration servicesย
- Maintainย regular communicationย with migrants to ensure understanding of procedures and readiness for each stage; Engage inย trust-buildingย and adapted communication strategies to foster safe environments for disclosure and supportย
- Collect and record accurate data using IOMโs standard tools and case management system, ensuring compliance with data protection standards and informed consent.ย
- Support engagement with civil society actors through regular contact, organizing consultations and meetings, and information exchangeย
- Assist in drafting official communication to government counterparts related to support assistance to vulnerable migrants
- Support ย mapping of ย available services, document and report gaps in service deliveryย
- Contribute to trainings, workshops and consultations onย migrant protection including assisting vulnerable migrants,ย trauma-informed care,ย trafficiking in persons and others thematic areasย
- Provide administrative and logistical support for all activities; assist in activity and budget planning and monitoring including financial trackingย

- University degree in Law, Political Science, Social Sciences, international relations or related field with two years of experience in sustainable development, migration, human rights, human trafficking, or other relevant fieldsย
- High school diploma with four years of experience in sustainable development, migration, human rights, human trafficking, or other relevant fieldsย Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Experience working in sustainable development, human rights,ย
- Experience working with international non governmental organizations or civil society actorsย
- Prior experience with IOM or a relevant UN agency will be considered an advantage.ย Skills
