More About the Role.ย
The Areaย Programmeย Manager (APM)ย is responsible forย implementing integratedย programmesย and represent NRC at coordination forums, as delegated from Area Manager as well as programming and advocacy in Rakhine State and ensuring that NRC and its partners achieve its programmaticย objectives. As such, s/heย is responsible forย overseeing project implementation in Rakhine State, and for taking a leading role in developing strategy andย programmeย development for the Country Office.ย ย

The APM is line managed by the Area Manager and is a member of the Area Management Team (AMT) and part of the extended Country Management Group. In addition, the APM has a technical (dotted) reporting line to the Head ofย Programmeย (HoP)andย is a member of the Country Office (CO)ย Programmeย Unit (PU).ย

What you will doย ย
Line management for CC project managersย
Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and proceduresย
Responsible for ensuring programme support to integrated programme, coordination and technical quality in Area officeย
Provide area specific input relevant for CC strategiesย
Compliance to donor standards, and grant management and regular reporting to donor in Areaย
Identify funding opportunities and develop funding strategy and forecastsย
Responsible for grants management and BPO allocations in Areaย

ย What you will bringย ย
Minimum 4 yearsโ experience from a management position in a humanitarian/ recovery contextย
Experience from working in complex and volatile contextsย
Core competency expertiseย
Documented results related to the positionโs responsibilitiesย
Knowledge about own leadership skills/profileย ย
Fluency in English, both written and verbalย

ย What we offerย ย
Duty station:ย Sittwe. Rakhine State, Myanmarย
Contract: 12 months, renewal subject to funding and performanceย
Travel:ย 30% - Travels to project sites and Yangon for coordinationย
ย Salary/benefits: Gradeย 9ย on NRCโsย Myanmar,ย salary
