For the purpose of this vacancy, internal candidates are considered first-tier candidates. ย Context Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, and direct supervision of the Senior Programme Assistant, Labour Mobility Division (LMD), and in close coordination with the Programme Support Officer in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, the Project Assistant/Grants manager will assist in the implementation of the Supporting Safe and Orderly Migration from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to the UK funded by Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) project activities.
- Assist in timely planning and implementation of the โSupporting Safe and Orderly Migration from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to the UKโ and LMD related programme activities in Uzbekistan, taking steps to achieve the project indicators, as well as considering the cross-cutting issues and disaggregated data collection.
- Monitor project implementation in the country, including matching grants distribution and provision of organizing English courses for returned migrants as per relevant project activity, fully complying with the project documentation and financial cost-efficiency.
- Provide inputs to internal and external project reports and updates (including narratives for interim and final reports).
- Assist in establishing and conducting regular management meetings to monitor the progress of implementation and ensure timely, regular, and cross-institutional information-sharing.
- Assist in maintaining quality control of project outputs and in keeping good and orderly record of activity reports, anticipate and address emerging challenges, and report these in a timely manner to the direct supervisor.
- Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, steering committees, policy and technical working groups on migration data and policy related activities.
- Assist in proper filing and records of programme activities, monitoring full compliance with IOM requirements linked to data protection and confidentiality.
- Assist in timely production, coordination and submission of institutional and programme/projects reports with/to the direct supervisor, Chief of Mission, Regional Office in Vienna and other respective offices.
- Compile, summarize, analyze, and present information/data on specific programme topics, highlighting noteworthy issues for the consideration of appropriate parties.

- University degree / Diploma in Information Technology, Computer science, Humanitarian, Political or Social Science, Data Management, Statistics, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma in the above fields with five years of relevant working experience.
