Mission and objectivesThe United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism.

ContextThe UNV Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia is collecting data on resilience and disaster management efforts from UN organizations' country offices. This information will inform the development of digital solutions for the Tech4R (Technology for Rescue, Response, Recovery and Resilience) initiative, enhancing disaster preparedness and response across the region.

Task DescriptionObjective: To collect and compile information/data related to projects in the field of Resilience, Disaster Risk Reduction, Disaster Management, Disaster Recovery/Response from Country Office websites of the UN agencies in Europe and Central Asia (ca. 20 focus countries, with 10-20 UN agencies in each). Responsibilities: Research and Data Collection: -Visit the websites of UN organizations' country offices. -Identify and gather information related to the following themes: Resilience, Disaster Risk Reduction, Disaster Management, Disaster Recovery/Response -Collect data on relevant programs, initiatives, reports, and resources. Documentation: -Organize the collected information in a structured format (e.g., spreadsheet or document). -Ensure all data is accurately recorded and categorized by theme and country office. Reporting: -Provide regular updates on the progress of data collection.
