UNICEF trabaja en Venezuela desde 1967, ampliando progresivamente su apoyo tras la apertura de una Oficina de UNICEF en el pa铆s y la firma del primer acuerdo de cooperaci贸n entre Venezuela y UNICEF en 1991. UNICEF trabaja en colaboraci贸n con las autoridades nacionales y subnacionales nacionales y subnacionales, la sociedad civil, el mundo acad茅mico y el sector privado.
ContextAs part of its resource mobilization strategy, UNICEF Venezuela plans to recruit a Resource Mobilization Officer UNV for the quality review of donor-related documents, including reports, communications/outreach pieces, and fundraising material. The UNV will also be tasked with developing donor profiles and various donor materials supporting UNICEF Venezuela鈥檚 Partnerships and Resource Mobilization strategy, such as interactive presentations and concept notes, and supporting preparation of donor missions and events. Overall, the Venezuela country office is looking for a young professional who can contribute to the production of high-quality results-based donor events and documents in English and Spanish, including reports, communications/outreach pieces, donor profiles, donor mapping, and fundraising materials with contributions from the Health, Nutrition, Education, Child Protection and WASH programmes, as well as supporting areas such as Budget, Communications and Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation. The UNV will be hosted by UNICEF and will be based in Caracas, under the supervision of the Partnerships Specialist (P-3). In addition to duty station specific vaccine requirements, appointments are subject to confirmation of fully vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the appointment. It does not apply to UN Volunteers who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises,programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their contracts. Task Description路 Supporting Programme teams to produce high quality donor-related documents (including analytical narrative reports, logical frameworks, budgets, etc.) in a timely manner by internal deadlines. The format and type of documents might vary depending on donor requirements and recommendations from UNICEF global and regional offices. 路 Developing analytical donor profiles, partnerships mapping/landscape analysis, and briefing notes for senior staff. 路 Supporting the identification of fundraising opportunities with the public and private sector. 路 Developing interactive PowerPoint presentations and technical and thematic concept notes. 路 Supporting preparation of donor events such as field missions, meetings, and virtual activities. 路 Translating documents from Spanish to English and from English to Spanish. A robust command of English and Spanish is required for this position (fluent) 路 Proof-reading and cross-checking figures and references 路 Checking documents for clarity and comprehension, respecting UNICEF terminology, grammatical and factual accuracy, and consistency with donor guidance, proposals and/or previous reports 路 Submitting all documents in compliance with the available donor guidelines and UNICEF Brand and Style Books, including layout/formatting 路 Archiving partnership documentation on SharePoint (filing agreements, proposals, budgets, reports, and any other relevant documents) in an organized and user-friendly manner 路 Performing other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Living conditions and remarksThe UN Volunteer will be based at UNICEF鈥檚 Venezuela Country Office in Caracas. Travel to project areas may be involved. Caracas is classified by the United Nations as Family duty station and living conditions are good, with good access to transportation, basic services and communications as well as cultural activities and experiences. Cultural and social awareness is advised as the UNICEF team is comprised of people from many nationalities. The UN Volunteer can expect a peaceful lifestyle. The selected candidate for the position will receive safety guidance from the security team once they begin their activities.
