Senior UNHCR Shop E-commerce Assistant


Organizational Setting and Work Relationships

The position is based within UNHCRโ€™s Division of Financial and Administrative Management (DFAM). The incumbent works in the Global Mobility and Infrastructure Service (GMIS). This Service includes UNHCRs global asset and fleet management, travel as well as facilities and infrastructure management.

The UNHCR Shop functions alongside the Public Outreach and Campaigns core work. Its purpose is to procure, sell and dispatch core visibility and promotional items to UNHCR staff and operations worldwide. It supports the work of Public Outreach by providing items to support events and helps to ensure brand compliance across the full range of visibility items and merchandise. The overall aim of the UNHCR Shop is to increase sales, mobilise further financial support to UNHCR, increase awareness and empathy for forcibly displaced people.

The Senior UNHCR Shop E-commerce Assistant will be working for the UNHCR Shop to ensure each audience is delivered a high-quality engagement experience and support streamlined UNHCR Shop operations. The incumbent manages the webshop, keeps track of the inventory, creates and updates reports, and supports processing orders. As all other members of the team, the UNHCR Senior UNHCR Shop E-commerce Assistant is encouraged to actively engage in collaborative brainstorming sessions, proactively contributing creative insights and proposing innovative solutions to shape the shopโ€™s future. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of Assistant UNHCR Shop Officer.
