The Strategic Planning Unit (SPU) within the Strategy, Planning, Resources and Effectiveness Division (SPRED) focuses on assisting UN Women and partners to achieve higher-quality development results through an integrated approach that links strategic planning and Results-Based Management (RBM) with more effective and new ways of working. ย SPU is the custodian of RBM as well as field and HQ level strategic planning and results-based reporting in UN Women. SPU provides quality assurance on strategic planning and results reporting exercises at the corporate and field levels. It takes a collaborative approach to strategic planning and programmatic learning, creating space for innovation and enabling UN Women and its partners to be more effective, knowledge and data-driven, and driving higher quality UN Women programming. ย It is also charged with engagement on all planning inter-agency initiatives. SPU is also the leading unit as business owner for UN Women's results management systems to support strategic planning and results-based monitoring and reporting processes, as well as data aggregation and analysis to communicate on results with stakeholders.
Under the overall guidance from the Chief of Strategic Planning Unit and under the supervision of the Programme Specialist- Strategic Planning, the consultant will work closely with and report to the Business Functional Specialist in supporting in leading the User Acceptance Testing phase of the system development process. ย
The consultant will support the management and execution of the User Acceptance testing strategies and plan to ensure that the system developed is in line with the requirements and ready for end users to use before it goes live. ย ย

This will require the consultant to review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents and identify gaps or ambiguities in requirements that could affect testing. Develop UAT test plans, scope, and strategy in collaboration with business stakeholders. Create detailed UAT test cases and scripts that reflect real-world business scenarios. ย The consultant will ensure that test coverage across workflows and edge cases is achieved and will review test cases developed by the Junior Tester. Execute UAT test cases and document results. Log, track, and prioritize defects using a defect tracking system. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.ยExperience:
At least 5 yearsโ relevant experience in UAT or Software Quality Assurance, or System Analysis is required. Experience with writing and executing UAT test cases/scenarios based on business requirements (at least two separate assignments) is required. Experience in documenting and reportingthe ย UAT process (at least two separate assignments) is required. Relevant working experience with the UN or international organizations or regulated industries with strong compliance/testing standards is desirable.ยLanguages:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of any other UN official is an asset.ยStatements :
