Mission and objectivesEnabling Rural Opportunity Network (ERONet) isformally Agoro Community Development Association (ACDA) a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering rural communities, particularly women and girls in Northern Uganda. Established in 2001 as an informal group supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs), ERONet officially registered in 2014 and expanded its mandate in 2018 to address gender inequality, economic hardship, and social exclusion. ERONet works to: Promote gender equality by empowering women and girls with economic and leadership opportunities. Improve rural livelihoods through vocational training, start-up support, and access to sustainable agriculture. Advance education by providing scholarships and mentorship to vulnerable children. Support environmental sustainability through conservation efforts and clean water initiatives. Enhance community resilience by advocating against child and forced marriages and strengthening social inclusion.
ContextERONet operates in Lamwo District and other parts of Northern Uganda, working with rural women, girls, and refugee host communities. As the organization expands, a strategic plan is crucial to ensure long-term impact and sustainability. The plan will help structure ERONetโs programs, fundraising efforts, and partnerships.
Task DescriptionERONet seeks an Online Volunteer to assist in developing a five-year strategic plan (2025-2030). The volunteer will: Assess ERONetโs past achievements and current programs. Conduct a SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Engage key stakeholders (staff, partners, and beneficiaries) to gather insights. Define strategic priorities and goals aligned with ERONetโs mission and future vision. Develop an implementation roadmap with clear objectives and measurable indicators. Ensure alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Ugandaโs national development priorities. The final deliverable is a comprehensive strategic plan document to guide ERONetโs growth and sustainability.
